Y’all bear with us as we transition into this new era of not having our best little boss lady around the greenhouses during the day. 😂 Things are certainly going to be a little different without her here running the show!

If the office seems a little quieter, or you find fewer mud pies throughout the seedhouse, just know she’ll be working extra hard in the evenings (after homework, of course!) to get everything back to the way we’re used to having it. 😂❤️

And while we don’t get to take nearly as many pictures of our older baby girl because she stays so busy (and she doesn’t exactly love the camera quite as much as Josie does!), we’ll be missing her around here, too. She is starting her SENIOR YEAR, and her mama is NOT okay about it. 🥹😭

Thankfully, she’ll still be here in the evenings this first semester, continuing to learn and grow her skills in marketing, customer service, and business management. Watching her grow into such a capable young woman and seeing her find her own path has been one of our greatest joys. She has such a bright future ahead of her, no matter what career she ultimately chooses.

We’re so thankful that our family gets to grow up together right here in the greenhouse, and even more thankful that we get to continue building this business on the family-first foundation it was started on. ❤️🌱

Here’s to a new school year, new adventures, and a greenhouse that’s going to feel just a little different without our girls here every day. We’re so proud of both of them! 📚🍎🌱

☔️🌧️Rainy days remind us to be grateful for the climate-control that our greenhouses provide.

🌈These mums, grown in the greenhouse, won’t suffer nearly as much as the outside beds. They aren’t completely dry or safe from all danger (bc the rain got here before we were able to get the curtains up and also the added moisture in the air & lack of airflow from no fans still isn’t prime growing conditions) but they are MUCH better off than the crops that are sitting completely unprotected. While rain is a necessity & a blessing to us, it can also mess with the pH & nutrient levels of crops grown outside when it comes in all-day downpours like this. It also increases the likelihood of disease & leaches out a lot of the fertilizer and nutrients we have been feeding them, so we will have to be very diligent & watchful of these crops in the coming days/weeks.

A high tunnel or greenhouse structure is more than an investment into your farm. It the best way to turn unpredictable weather into predictable production. It is an investment in your future harvest. An investment in controlled growing environments. And these investments will always pay off in the end.

Think control. Think predictability.
