Cry me a river…. Me being dramatic.
As a business owner, who has used social media to promote their business and celebrate their business and grow their business, it has been quite discouraging of the late.
I get it, the algorithm. I’m not asking for new followers or for thousands and thousands of views on my reels but what I’m asking for is possibly some feedback sometimes when I announce an accomplishment.
I know this might sound stupid to you, but seriously I don’t really know how else to celebrate being a 45-year-old woman who has been successfully running a side hustle Floral Design, Business.
I announced last week that I won an award and probably got like one response.
I announced yesterday that I was potentially thinking about opening a shop for Floral preservation and needed feedback and got two responses.
I just feel like I can’t grow much further on this app and that’s fine. I will accept it, and I will throttle back on it. As I already have been because it’s just been kind of a waste of time.
For those of you who do not rely on social media to grow your business if you see this, and if you want to respond, maybe send me some tips if you can on how else to continue growing.
And I just want to be clear that social media is not the only way I get Business.
I get Business by referrals and Google searches as well.
So I am extremely thankful for all of the inquiries that I get on a regular basis! Sometimes it behooves me that I get so many!
Im trying to grow my business further. I’m trying to take the Floral preservation to another level here in our area.
Yesterday I went to go look at a potential spot to rent. But realizing that I can’t even really promote it on social media successfully how would I even promote it outside of it and actually get Business?
That’s it my rant is done.
Just had to get that out.
I guess my point is, support your local artists and business owners. It’s a tech world, and this is really sometimes our only platform.
Show some love.
