This set of four Israeli pressed brass coins are a must-have for any collector of elongated coins.

As far as I know, this is the ONLY WORKING ELONGATED COIN MACHINE IN ISRAEL!

All of the other Israeli machines have been removed and are gone.

Unfortunately, this machine is NOT AVAILABLE TO PUBLIC USE, and is located at a hidden location. Finding it and rolling these coins was the result of detective work and lots of string pulling.

I'm not sure what is the purpose for the machine, if it's not available for public use. It still baffles me.

Since the owner asked me not to disclose its location, all I can say is that it's located in Tel-Aviv.

The designs show what I believe are the logos of 4 of the Corporation's companies.

These elongateds are pressed on Israeli brass coins.

There is a hamper full of these coins, and they drop into place when selecting the design you want to press.

Whether you are a seasoned elongated coin collector or just starting out, these coins are a great addition to any collection.

It was April 19, 1943. Three young men pedaled their bikes the 24 miles from Brussels to Boortneerbeek, near the N**i detention center in Mechelen, Flanders. Convoy 20 was just beginning its journey to Auschwitz with 1,631 men, women, and children crammed into its cattle cars.

The young men were armed with great daring, but little else - one pistol, a lantern covered with red tissue paper, and two pairs of pliers. As darkness fell, they waited on the tracks, and when the train approached, they swung the lantern, the red light signaling danger ahead. The train stopped, and Youra Livschitz, a brilliant young doctor and resistance leader, fired his pistol to draw the attention of the guards. His long-time school friends, Jean Franklemon and Robert Maistrian, raced to the cars.

Years later, Robert, then 22 years old, described what happened next: "The brakes made a hellish noise and at first I was petrified…I had to busy myself with the pliers. I was very excited and it took far too long until I had cut through the wire that secured the bolts of the sliding door. I shone my torch into the carriage and pale and frightened faces stared back at me. I shouted Sortez Sortez!… Quick, Quick, get out of here!"

A quick exchange of gunfire, and the train was back en route, but Youra, Jean, and Robert had done something entirely unique- they had staged a daring rescue from a convoy to Auschwitz - the only such attempt during the entire Holocaust.

Two-hundred, thirty-one people escaped that night; 23 were shot as they fled. Youra was captured months later and executed on February 17, 1944.

Jean and Robert were captured and sent respectively to Sachsenhausen and Bergen-Belsen concentration camps. Both survived to liberation in 1945.

The 2020 & 2021 Tokyo Olympics Elongated Coins have arrived!!!

I previously made 2020 Tokyo Olympics EC’s, but the Olympics were postponed to 2021, so I made a brand-new die, similar, yet different. Will this make any of these sets more/less collectible? Who knows?

I only know that I made them, and they are BOTH available NOW!

Each design was rolled on 3 metals, depicting the Gold, Silver & Bronze medals:
Gold – Quarter sized brass planchet/blank
Silver – Japanese Aluminum 1 Yen coin (no raised backs or stain on the 2020 coins). The 2021 have a red-stained back
Bronze – U.S. Cent

LOW MINTAGE: Only 100 sets of the 2020 and 75 sets of the 2021 were made!

They are finally here - Kansas City Chiefs – Superbowl LIV Champions Elongated Coins!!!

This year, the KC Chiefs won the 54th Superbowl, exactly 50 years after they won the 4th Superbowl in 1970. This calls for a CELEBRATION!

The elongated coin I designed pays respect to the team and its two wins, 50 years apart!
