Better late than never… a couple of snapshots from Santa’s visit the week before last. When and pucciManuli decided to host Santa, we both instantly knew we wanted his visit to benefit our community in some way. It’s second nature to us, as well as so many small businesses everywhere - how does what we do benefit our community - how do we help each other help others?

And while the big man’s visit was very last minute, thanks to our generous customers and community members, we managed to collect over 200 cans of food and over $150 for the Ardmore Food Pantry, which we delivered today.  As you work to finish up your shopping for the season, please consider doing so at the wonderful small businesses in your community. For those of you local to us, might we suggest:

Eeek! and pucciManuli just got word from way up North that the Big Man himself will be in town on December 13th from 9:30am - 10:30am and he’s let us know he’d like to visit Cricket Avenue to meet your little ones.

Here’s what you’ll need to do: bring a minimum of three (3) canned goods to benefit the Ardmore Food Pantry and you’ll have an opportunity to meet Santa in person, tell him what’s on your wish list, and get your picture taken.

So start working on those lists, and meet us at pucciManuli at 9:30am Saturday, December 13th. 🎅🎄

New windows are up (big shout out to one of our elves, Nicha a recent grad with mad talent who made these windows happen!❤️).

It’s about this time of year when I start feeling like a broken record, and this year is no exception - in fact I’d argue this year it matters more than ever…

As a small business owner, I pour countless hours combined with some blood, sweat (and plenty of tears 😂) into this business (there are plenty who think I’m crazy - fair enough, many days I’d agree). But I’ve always believed if you’re going to do something, do it right or not at all (I have my parents to thank for this value ❤️).

When I threw in the towel with the corporate world and started this business all those years ago, I made a conscious decision to avoid the status quo whenever possible (note, it’s usually possible —see blood, sweat & tears above) - to not get sucked into to what everyone else was thinking/doing - to think differently…

I also decided to seek out ways to contribute to my community, both locally & globally to leave this place better than I found it. It’s why we have a Circle of Giving Program , it’s why we’ve panted over 10,000 trees, it’s why we continue to support various children’s charities, as well as … And these are some of the very reasons my little business and many others just like mine don’t scale… and that’s ok. As long as we can make an honest living, we’ll continue to do it - not because we dream of becoming billionaires, but because we believe in what we’re doing and know that small acts often create big impacts.

So today (and let’s face it, as many days as possible) seek out and support the small businesses in your community… It matters more than you know. Those tax dollars stay in and directly benefit your community, those donations directly benefit your children’s schools and organizations. And those small businesses add vibrancy to your local communities.

new windows went up last week (trying to get decent pics of these windows is nearly impossible 😩). they might be my favorite to date… not for the creativity (although never fails to deliver, thank you, I know how busy you are)), but rather for the message.

I’ve always felt an obligation of sorts to use any kind of platform I have, however teeny tiny it may be, to promote and help amplify good human-ness and universal human values we learn in kindergarten — kindness, gratitude, inclusivity, integrity….

And courage.

Today, we find ourselves living through truly unprecedented times. ,and it’s up to all of us to dig deep and find the courage to do something, however insignificant it may feel. because we’ve proven time and again, we can tackle monumental challenges when we come together and act.

Huge shoutout to for an unbelievable turn around time on the banners. (and had to go back to my Michigander roots with the music) 😬

Can we talk about for a minute…?

I was introduced to Meg several years ago (thank you !) when we inquired about potentially working together on some product photos. I remember thinking at the time how kind and enthusiastic she was about the project, which was a really good feeling given how insanely talented she is. And that kindness and enthusiasm? It wasn’t just “first phone call niceness.”   That’s who Meg is at her core.

Over the years I’ve discovered just what a she really is. Meg always has a kind word for you, is quick to give credit to others, generous with her time and praise and never misses an opportunity to expresses her gratitude. When I had the opportunity to actually meet Meg in person a couple of months ago, these qualities were magnified tenfold.  Meg is the epitome of what it means to be a and I’m so grateful to know her. Thank you Meg for who you are and how you show up. The world needs more you in it. ❤️❤️❤️

Day one. We get 365 days each year and an infinite number of opportunities - however seemingly insignificant they might feel - to make a difference in our collective world. For us. For our children. For our neighbors. For our community. And for humankind. And as we head into these next 365 days, I’m reminded that the ocean is made up of bajillions of tiny - seemingly insignificant - drops. Each and every one of us matters. And we CAN make a difference.  We’ll be closed the rest of this week to conduct our annual inventory count. We’ll re-open next Wednesday, January 8th at 10am with fresh minds, beautiful (and sustainable) gifts. new ideas and plenty of heart and soul.
