Tikka re-barrel in 7 Backcountry

16" Rock Creek Barrels, Inc. 7mm 8 twist that have been 🔥. Also custom painted stock I did per customer's request in hunter orange, graphiye black, battleship grey and then topped with a clear coat. Also added some aluminum Mountain Tactical bottom metal.

I usually stay away from "fixing" r***es but i had two guys bring in their "custom" built r***es from another shop. They said they were terribly inaccurate with groups ranging from 2-5" at 100 yds with all sorts of factory and handloaded ammo. After inspecting I knew i could help.

What I did -
Re-headspaced from "go" +.006 on the howa and "go" +.003 on the tikka to "go"+ .001.

Fixed both crowns (tikka was BAD!)

Free floated both barrels

Bead blasted and re-engraved bc metal finish was ugly.

Test fired with Hornady factory ammo and ta-dah! All better.

Do your research people. There are a lot of good reputable builders out there...and then there's not.
