Title: “Finding Strength in the Hills: A Morning Devotion”
Scripture Reference: Psalm 121:1-2 (NIV) - “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
Reflection:
As we start this new day, let us take a moment to reflect on the words of Psalm 121:1-2. The psalmist speaks of lifting their eyes to the hills, questioning where their help comes from. In this simple act of looking towards the mountains, there is a recognition of someone who is greater than our circumstances.
The hills serve as a powerful symbol of strength and stability. They stand tall and unwavering, reminding us of the steadfastness of our God. When we face trials and tribulations, it is natural to seek help and guidance. Yet, the psalmist reminds us that our ultimate help comes from the Lord, the Creator of heaven and earth.
Just as the hills provide a sense of security, so too does our faith in God. When we lift our eyes to Him, we are reminded of His sovereignty and power. He promised to never leave nor forsake us. In the midst of life’s trials, we can find refuge and strength in His presence.
As we go about our day, let us keep our attention fixed on the hills, remembering where our help truly comes from. Let us find comfort and assurance in the knowledge that we serve a God who is mighty to save and faithful to fulfill His promises.
Have a blessed and highly favored day everyone!
