20 years ago, the Farley family opened up a Running store on the corner of Clarendon Blvd and Highland St in Arlington, Virginia. The place I lived my entire life.

A year prior, we had bought Pacers Running, a one store operation in old town, Alexandria. If owning a Running Store was my dream (which it was!) owning 2 Running Stores, one being in the town I grew up in, was beyond my wildest dreams.

Because of the amazing support of our Running community, the same store (although it may have had a few facelifts) on the corner of Clarendon and Highland turns 20 today. Thank you to all the staff and the customers who helped us get to our Platinum anniversary.

And to “F Hackky” thanks for paying cash on that first transaction.

NASDAQ CLOSING BELL 🚨

Yesterday, Brittany Greene, founder of Chocolate City Relay and Kathy Dalby, CEO of Pacers Running joined together in Times Square to ring the Nasdaq closing bell in celebration of National Play outside day.

Chocolate City Relay was founded in 2021, as a celebration of black women runners and sisterhood. It’s since has grown into a platform for powerhouse women blazing their own trails anchored in community.

“It was such a special day. Ringing the nasdaq closing bell is one of those once in a lifetime experiences and I’m so glad I got to share that with so people I love. Pacers has been an active champion of CCR so it was a real treat to share that moment. To me, ringing the closing bell was a celebration of our collective progress and also a cool declaration that we’re just getting started.” - Brittany Greene
