you do not need a home photo studio to make money reselling clothes 🤑

this is the exact setup i’ve used to photograph thousands of listings: a plain wall, natural light, my iPhone, and a very questionable amount of tape.

could better equipment make my photos prettier? possibly

would it make me a better reseller? probably not

when building a reselling business, i’d rather put my money toward inventory, shipping supplies, or literally anything else before dropping hundreds of dollars on photography equipment.

simple > expensive

packaging orders doesn’t need to become another expensive part of your reselling business.

i’m a big fan of finding ways to make the things i already have work before buying more.

free USPS supplies? of course
saved Amazon boxes? absolutely
QR codes instead of a printer taking up space & costing me ink + paper? say less

the goal is to get the item safely to the buyer — not win an award for fanciest packaging 😂

fall sweater shopping is one of my favorite reminders that you really don’t need to buy new to get excited about a new season 🍂

there are already SO many sweaters sitting in thrift stores — chunky knits, vintage finds, natural fibers, oversized styles, & weird little gems you won’t see everyone else wearing.

finding the good ones is half the fun!!

one of my favorite parts of reselling is realizing that people are shopping for waaaay more than the things we’re told are “worth reselling” 📦

i believe there’s a buyer for everything — and there’s some seriously unexpected stuff out there looking for a new home.

that’s why i love paying attention to what sells instead of what i personally think “should” sell.

five years in, i’ve learned that the biggest lessons usually aren’t about what brands to buy 🤔

they’re about the parts of reselling nobody puts in the “how to make money online” videos.

your time has value.
your space has value.
your attention has value.
your work has value.

reselling can absolutely be a great side business — but it doesn’t come without its challenges.

consider this your friendly reminder that more inventory, more platforms and more sourcing trips don’t automatically equal more money 👀

sometimes the most profitable thing you can do is buy less, list what you already have, and stop trying to do everything.

i’ve learned most of these lessons the hard way — usually after convincing myself that this time the death pile was somehow going to make my business take off 😂
