Rosslyn Jazz Fest is a September staple, and it’s free (bring a blanket and get there early for a good spot on the lawn). Clarendon Day basically takes over the neighborhood with vendors and food, so it’s an easy one to wander. And Paw-casso at MoCA pairs art with an adoption event, which is a hard combo to beat.⁣

The Arlington County Fair is the big one, five days of rides, funnel cake, and the exhibit hall at Thomas Jefferson. The Stationery Store Day at Open to Being is a fun one if you love paper and letterpress (you print your own postcard and they mail it). And the Midsummer Flea Market is worth digging through if you like a good vintage find.⁣
