This is one of my Salvation Bracelets that I've made with precious and semi-precious gemstones. All the gold is 14k goldfill.

I also name all the Salvation Bracelets after women in the Bible - I've learned quite a bit that way!

Salvation Bracelets: I love these bracelets because I love symbolic messages of all kinds. If you don't know about salvation bracelets, they recount the true Christian's path to salvation. Christianity is rife with symbols, certainly because it was a banned religion at one time, and then later because so many people were illiterate.
The beads represent:
Black: one is in a sinful state
Red: the blood of Christ which saves us from sin
Blue: we show commitment through baptism (faith and loyalty)
Clear (or white): the sinner free from sin, purity
Green: our spirit grows with His love & we grow as Christians
Gold: the streets of heaven
Purple: I have started adding this bead because a client wanted it to show the royalty of Christ, descended from the house of David

I often use Swarovski crystals and sterling silver to make these although I do make them with gemstones and gold as well.
