We tested Cherry Blossom Pink by Laguna Clay to see how different glazes and washes could produce its chrome tin flashing! 🌸

Our personal opinions: it went Emerald Isle, Chrome Oxide wash and then Power Turquoise. Since the presence of Chrome Green Oxide is supposed to bring out the blushing, it infers the different content between the three.

We’re partnering with AlSi Ceramics to launch a Raku workshop at Stone Leaf Saturday 9/26! 🔥

Learn about Raku from the AlSi experts themselves. Choose which session you’d like to be a part of, with 14 slots per session and 8 available sessions throughout the workshop! We’re offering a variety of Raku styles, ranging from traditional to horse hair. Bring your own piece (up to two per session) or purchase a ready-made piece for $20. Our firing tech Robyn getting this Skutt Kilns 1227PK ready for a customer! She converted it from 240 volts to 208. Since they’re both single phase, this involves replacing its elements—a tedious but rewarding process.

We currently have plenty of KMT822 and KMT1027 kilns in stock! Inquire at the front desk or give us a ring for more info while we have ‘em!

NEW Pearlescent Amaco glazes will be carried at Stone Leaf soon! Pearlescent glazes are shimmery mattes with movement. These fluid satin glazes create a pearly sheen with subtle micro-crystalline effects that add depth and dimension to your work!

One of the coolest workshops we’ve hosted lately! Our Nerikomi for Beginners workshop with Sarah Chatawanich blew our minds. We loved learning how to stack, layer and slice colored clay to make new patterns. We hope to host another in the future! Thanks Sarah!
