"A land was full of wonder, mystery, and danger. Some say, to survive it, you need to be as mad as a hatter”.
Mel and I have had a lot of fun either making candle vessels or up-cycling thrifted glassware. All vessels are intended to be cleaned and reused.
I gained an interest in candle making when learning from our Mom our Lolo made candles in the Philippines. With thinking about the amount of waste created in this country I wanted to ensure the vessel we use could be reused once the candle has burned through.
There are a couple different ways to clean candle vessels:
1. To reuse you can freeze the container for at least 2 hours and excess wax will pop out.
2. Depending on cement or glass, the vessel can also be cleaned by scooping out excess soy wax then filling it with hot water to have the wax rise to the top.
Mad Hatter candle listed to Etsy today, only 1 in stock. Soy wax and lemon pound cake scented.
