Finish #7 in 2022! This bed size Kensington has been languishing in the pile for well over a year 🤦🏼‍♀️

I made the binding a hair too narrow and stitching it on was tedious so I put it aside. And that’s a real shame because the quilting Sheila did deserves to be seen! Swipe for the close up!

Do you remember this Harriet quilt? Sadly I left it in a pile awaiting binding for A YEAR!

But you know I’m working through my WIPs this year and I am so happy to have this one! I’ve been snuggled under it constantly.

Okay I hear you - why “faux” linen, Jillian? My friend, I will tell you. Fraying is why.

Linen and other woven fabrics make quilts with spectacular texture but they aren’t easy to work with, especially for a new-er quilter. Especially if you and your seam ripper spend a lot of time together (no judgment!).

Faux Linen from gives you that rich depth of color but see how tidy my seams are? No frays!
