A Cosplay Apothecary Boutique for Outlander Fans

This year I’m changing diapers, but last year I was gathering materials to build my first full Outlander cosplay. This is Claire’s look from the boar hunt in season 1 (swipe to see). This is a historically accurate build using all natural fabrics and lots and lots of layers constructed by me. How many layers you ask? I have them all listed below! And the most exciting part about this look is featured me on their insta stories as Claire at last year. 😍

Fellow Sassenachs, I know I have been MIA for awhile; here is what I’ve been up to… my little love bug was born May 2 (1 day after Jamie Fraser 😂) after a long 40-hour Beltane-weekend labor. He’s as sweet as can be and adorable to boot!
We also had to move during the last few weeks before little man’s arrival so Sassenach Apothecary is currently in boxes. I will be setting up my new studio over the next 2 months with hopes of having some items ready by August 1. Since I am a new mama and my hands are just a bit fuller than before 😂, I am going to start doing preorders of items on Etsy and having bulk drop/ship dates. So basically if you want to order an item, you will need to preorder it by the cut off date and it will be shipped out on the assigned ship date rather than immediately.

When life gives you mushrooms, you make mushroom soup…sometimes…cautiously…and definitely not with these Clustered Bonnet Mycena Inclinata. Not considered edible with its rancid odor and teensy tiny caps but quite lovely to capture basking in a curtain of light.
