Often, customers ask us how many stems it takes to make an arrangement. Our answer is always, "It depends!" And it does. How many stems you need depends on the size of your vase, the style of your design and your skill level. The bigger your vase, the more stems you need, especially if it's a shallow vase like a compote. The denser your design, the more stems you need, of course, and the lower your skill level, the more stems you need — you'll make mistakes and also there are a lot of tricks to doing more with less that you learn through experience.
So we can't tell you exactly how many stems you need, but we can help you estimate! Here are a few arrangements we made with an exact tally of how many stems are in each!
