Jacksons English Store

Jacksons English Store Jackson's English Store has long been partnered with Jackson's Western Store. Jackson's started as a feed, hay, and leather tack store.

Jackson Trading Co started in 1938, a fixture on Lexington ave just a block from the local farmers market. It was expanded to focus on retail, tack, and leather goods. In 1972 Jackson's relocated to its current address, Patton ave, with the feed aspect of the store gone Jackson's was able to offer a full leather repair shop down stairs, and the retail/tack store on the main level. In 1997, another

expansion to the current building offered more square footage, which in turn more boots, more tack, more clothes, full farrier supplies, bigger repair shop, and a new harness section. With the store focusing more on western riders, there was always a small English section to choose from. The great-grand daughter of the first Jackson, rides English focusing on Eventing, and Jumpers, she always dreamed to have a equal if not larger store for the English riders in the area. Though the square footage of the actual store hasn't changed yet, the development of online retail allows her to have the store she always wanted. Jackson's is still family owned, and operated, it's a rare find. It's a mom and pop store that embraces their customers, enjoys hearing where the tourist are from, and can stay late for anyone.
