Established in 2012, FBO is Asheville's largest boat, SUP and disc golf store. Located on the banks of the French Broad River we offer trips, shuttles and retail sales of all your river needs! Only the best brands and only the best service sets us apart from the older or more departments style paddle shops. Our summer time bar at Hominy Creek provides entertainment, special events and trips and shuttles for the Biltmore section of the FBR.

We are closed. Please enjoy a safe summer by supporting Zen Tubing for tubing fun in south Asheville, see Asheville Outdoor Center on Amboy for river trips with kayaks and tubes. They also offer whitewater trips. Check out Cedar Rock Adventures for brews cruises and flatwater trips.

HUGE Thanks to Mtn. True and to their clean up crew! The Pearson Bridge Access has been remediated and ready for the summer. Fresh mulch, litter picked up, steps shoveled clear of two feet of sediment and it’s looking great!
Caution debris still just downstream on the bridge pylon. Conversations are being had. Update soon.

We are still closed due to the damage caused by Hurricane Helene. We are working with City officials to determine the damage to our building. We have the bar and checking shed from Hominy so we are expecting to run trips this summer.
Reservation system to open when we anticipate a safer river environment.

Hello all, first: thank you for your support via requesting to purchase cleaned gear. I’m working on it. I have a list and have gear set aside if you have reached out. 194, 203 Paddlesports’s, SUP list asap, straps, chaos, green jackets…..
Pick up will be individual, payment via cash or Venmo. POS was wiped out. Receipts given with each purchase.
