As schools come back into session, I always think about the neurodivergent kids that struggle socially in schools. For some kids school is not a safe space. Kids can be cruel and teachers can struggle to know what behaviors are a manifestation of a child’s disability.

Many kids in middle and high school end up being bullied because they don’t fit in, they are misunderstood and they do not have many friends. Telling a kid to ignore a bully doesn’t work.

If you are neurodivergent and found a good way to deal with a bully please share your experience in the comments. Positive comments only, please. We are hoping to help kids with strategies they can use.
