Hey my loves. It has been a minute since I’ve posted. Life got really hectic after the hurricane and I have since moved inventory into my garage. That being said, do you live locally? Or within a reasonable distance? I am considering holding Saturday hours once a month to liquidate inventory at low, low CASH prices . I will even consider trades (probably along the lines of fruit tree saplings, cool houseplants, raw Shea butter, idk what but we can talk).

Yesterday, I went up to where the shop used to be. It’s turned into a coworking space that is frequented by the kids’ dad.

It was definitely not the same .

I had to move out of the storage unit. Which is good because I will be offloading fabric and stuff soon. There’s a few q***r centered items that I would love to have in the hands of my peoples through donation initiatives.

I am asking my sewing, fiber, and all around crafting community to help out. If you have the capacity to make or send gently used and laundered (we do not have power or water in some places , even my own home) hats, hoodies, blankets, etc to my home. I will work on getting these items to the WNC community. If you have the capacity, add the size and a note of support to the recipient .

Hugs in Hoodies has been on my radar as a way to help underserved youth learn how to sew. It will get there one day. However, the need is acute and will increase as our weather changes.

I am open to suggestions and will take any aid you want to give. I feel like this is the best way to manage and handle $$$ so you know where the money is being spent .

I am safe and so is my family. We are lucky to only be out of electricity and water. My kids and I have left asheville for the time being. Their dad stayed with our unruly triad of dogs, the chickens, and bees.

While I have stock left, I am not sure about when I can process orders . So this will have to wait for now.

My suggestions for donations locally would be - they do so much for the community and have strong ties to what is needed with the hands on infrastructure in place. is a local diaper bank . I’ve worked with them and they’ve helped diaper and wipe WNC for many years .
collective is another great local community group.

has made it to Asheville and is feeding folx .

Pretty much done moving out of the shop. I will be organizing the storage unit and be ready for orders soon.

I opened the retail shop and did it with the help of out of town friends, the kids, and their dad…. I closed up wirh a bunch of friends and lots more love and support. I’ve wept a little out of the happiness and overwhelming joy i feel .

Thank you all so much. This business has helped me find parts of myself I didnt know I was missing. And reiterated resiliency and self expression.

Okay loves. Tomorrow is the big day. Off to move the shop to a climate controlled unit. I still have a ton to sell but I need time to organize and breathe .

All of the orders are out! I am so thankful for you and what you’ve done for OTS.

Friends have been helping to get ots ready to move. Saturday we are moving to storage and will continue sales once we get settled. I am so grateful to the people I’ve meet the last few years and all of the love and support !

Gondola shelves, mangle, vintage machine, and other fixtures are still for sale. Hit me up if you want anything .
