Little buddy left her winter jacket in this J45. On second thought, I think that brace inside looks fine.

Now how'd that get in there? 1976 Martin D35, and I'd do it again!

I recently had a 1943 00-18 on my bench, with a chronic bellying issue due to a replaced bridge plate, which left voids where the previous plate was tucked into the x brace. The X brace had been glued several times, and the best way to fix it was to pull the plate, and fill the voids. The bridge was also shaved and needed to be replaced because it was also getting a neck reset. Both were glued with epoxy, which changed the game. No amount of heat or moisture would budge them, so I routed off the bridge, and disintegrated the plate with a counterbore. The top required a two part patch, one to replace the old patch which housed the pin holes, and another that I made on my duplicator, to repair missing material, and bring the gluing surface level with the finish. Anybody made it this far? Eyes glazed over?
