We just got cell service at home this morning! We are fine. Harris Teeter on Merrimon Ave was giving away bags of ice this morning and we have a good cooler so we have some basic stuff like eggs and canned soup, peanut butter, bread. Still no power, and no water of course. We have good supply of bottled water right now. This morning I heard the mayor say on radio that water in Biltmore Village was halfway up first floor of the Bohemian Hotel, which was built under the current flood regs. Pics are on Chunns Cove Rd at St Luke’s Episcopal church where my chorus rehearses, a block from my house. Still no power work happening on Chunns Cove Rd, but we expect them soon. Power workers are everywhere ❤️ Thanks for everyone’s love and concern for our beautiful area!

Folks, we are nearly down to just furniture and fixtures. It's certainly been bittersweet. Thanks to all who came in to share their memories of the store and what it meant to them. I think that Saturday June 25 will be our last day of "regular" hours. We still have some hand lenses and plant presses, though.
