Come shop art by over 340 artists in the re-opened RAD to show your love and support! Since the mid-1990's the district has grown to house over 180 artists in 25 unique studio buildings. Less than a mile from the historic Biltmore Estate and the convenience of I-40, the River Arts District is perfect for a quick afternoon shopping trip, a day of art exploration or a collectors weekend excursion! Just as every artist is different, so are each studio's hours. Many studios are open to the public every day, all year round which ensures you'll always have a great experience in the district no matter when you visit. Other artists are open more selective hours and by appointment. This is the final week for submissions- open call to WNC photographers- exhibition opens Halloween night at Pink Dog Gallery.

No:Body is a photography exhibition taking place Halloween night at Pink Dog Creative in Asheville’s River Arts District.

This exhibition aims to distill the literal into the essential by removing the familiarity of everyday projections. Ranging from name, place, story, etc., the finite particulars are also constraints that have come to define value.

We seek work that is figurative, abstract, or symbolic that serves to further illuminate the Theory of Forms and explores different perspectives on a deeper essence. Without name or story to rely on, what remains unchangable?

Open to lens-based artists currently living and working in Western North Carolina
Artists retain 65% of all sales
Selected artists will be asked to contribute $20 toward reception costs after acceptance
Financial waivers considered on request
Images may not include AI processes at any stage of creation or editing

As part of this exhibition's concept, artist names will not accompany the work. Instead, each piece will be displayed with title, medium, dimensions, and a QR code available for viewers seeking artist details.

Please submit up to 5 images (2000px on the long side) along with relevant information.

Submission deadline: 08/31/26

Opening reception: 10/31/26
Exhibition dates: 10/31/26 - 11/22/26

RADish Fest (RADish Fest) is a one-day, 12 hour celebration rooted in the River Arts District put on by local creatives, for locals and open to every neighbor, visitor, and friend who wants to be part of something…pretty RADish. From 11am to 11pm, the heart of RAD comes alive with live music on the Grey Eagle stages, live painting, immersive art installations, One Village WNC workshops, comedy, puppets and the kind of unexpected magic that only happens when a creative community cuts loose.

RADish Fest is hyper-local by design. A place for old friends to reconnect, for strangers to become neighbors, and for the artists who call this district home to be seen, celebrated, and supported. Bites from Grey Eagle Taqueria, local vendors, local b**r and sustainably run operations round out a day built to leave footprints and memories behind.
