Dennis and Connie setup at Sols in November of 2002 and still going strong today. He had retired from his job in 2000, and began doing this after. He said he loves every minute of it and doesnt consider his woodworking as “work”. Just this week when he was here stocking he shared that he used to go out to his shop at 5 in the morning but not anymore. He takes a more leisurely pace these days. Denny is 83 years old and does all the cutting, he credits his wife’s artistic painting talent as why their things are special when given compliments on their creations. One of Dennis and Connie’s daughters rented a space at Sols earlier this year as well. She has a store in Ashland, Ohio.

His nativity scenes have been a popular item over the years. We recently ordered one for a permanent seasonal display fixture that you’ll see soon on our Palace wall facing the road.

Thanks for learning more about Dennis, Aka Denny, and his wife’s crafting business.

We love working with our special crafters and forming close ties over the years. It is a blessing.
