We had visitors to the store on Monday. The 5th grade students at Crabbe Elementary walked away with their own books thanks to a generous donor. This is such a great program and the kids love picking out their own books. If you would like to sponsor children, just let us know. There are some children that would love it!!💚💙📚
HELP US PUT MORE BOOKS INTO THE HANDS OF LOCAL CHILDREN!
One of the things we love most at Broadway Books is welcoming local school children into our store. Through our free-book program, we invite classes to visit us, explore the shelves, and each child gets to choose one book to take home—completely free. ❤️
While they’re here, we try to make their visit feel extra special. We might play a trivia game, offer an activity that sparks their imagination, share a treat, or create anything else that helps bring about some fun and connection. We want children to feel welcome and excited to be here.
For some children, this may be the first time they have ever walked into a bookstore and chosen a book that is theirs. We get to watch their faces light up as they find the one they want, and it is truly something special.
Right now, this program is made possible by the incredible generosity of one very special woman who believes in the power of books and in our children. We are so grateful for her support. ❤️
