UPDATE: Books, games, and toys on Sunday!!

We will open at 2pm on Sunday (7/21/19
and hopefully the games and toys will be ready!!

Huge garage sale coming up:

Anne’s Annual Tent Sale July 25-27
1210 Vaughn Ave
Ashland

Many of you knew my mom, one of the things she loved was a good garage sale- both going to them and having them. Her favorite place to have a garage sale was in Ashland. We made it a fun family gathering where she enjoyed visiting with the same people year after year, and was always so happy to meet the newcomers to the sale.

Mom passed away last year after losing her final battle with cancer (for the record, she was 3-1. Unfortunately, when cancer wins, you don’t get to battle it again). She chuckled when she put it in her will that we were to have a final garage sale at Anne and Rick’s (and she did apologize to rick- with a wink and little smile)

More than anything, mom loved spending her time with her family and we loved hanging out with her...that’s what the garage sale has always been about -fun and family!! She thought it was a perfect way to disperse the remaining items from her house. She always felt the sale was a win-win, she was able to have fun with the family and sell things that had a lot of use left in them, and someone else found lots of bargains!!! There is no furniture left to sell, but we have decorations for every season, household items (mom had great taste in cut glass, crystal, and just all kinds of beautiful things!), pictures, prints, frames, vases, baskets, old tools, games, toys, and did I say holiday decorations?! She had a big house and she decorated it throughout the year!!

On top of all of that stuff, we have books...mom was a teacher and a reader, dangerous combination when it comes to books...I bet she had 3000 books- every type imaginable. Come see for yourself as we are going to try to sell as many books as we can before the actual garage sale happens or else we just won’t have enough room for everything. My guess is that we will be ready for people to look at the books starting Sunday around 4(?), I will try to post when ready. If you are out and about and just want to check it out, swing by and we will let you know if we’re ready.

This is going to be a huge sale, I just wish she were going to be here to help set it up and make the ‘deals’ with people as their piles grew. Hopefully we will keep everyone happy and stick to our mission (mission statement- yes we have one, to be successful, you need a mission statement!) We are here to ha e fun with our family and our customers as we try make some great deals that we can all feel good about at the end of the day.
