To me there was too much exposed vacant space on the natural coral head. I added an alabaster starfish to keep Shelly company. I keep adding to my underwater sea creature menagerie.

It's not just working the stone to create my sculptures that takes effort. There is a lot of work that goes into locating, acquiring, and transporting the stone. This rare blue green Onyx from the Andes of Argentina, is like unobtainium. I feel privileged to finally, (6yrs), have convinced a fellow carver to part with his private collection.
