This reminds me of the Class I took at Road to California this year with "Improv Log Cabin" with Sarah Goer.
I loved the class as there was no pattern, just fun techniques and cutting it as you choose! plus use up those scraps!

Lara Langston has a gift... a gift for solving puzzles and finding things. It's a gift that she shared with her Nana.

From her earliest memories, Lara could recall that she and Nana shared a special insight, a special gift.

Now, Nana has passed, but Lara continues to use her gift, and she will use it again soon, in the Surf's Up mystery.
