We are having one of our most unique contests ever
Those of you who know Richard and Shanna outside of comics know they are huge fans of Broadway musicals. David not so much.

They want to share their love of musicals with one of our Welcome Back Comics fans.

We are bringing one lucky fan to see the Broadway musical Masquerade in NYC.

What do you have to do to enter?

Like, share or comment on any or as many of our posts as possible the next month.

We will pick a winner in mid November.

CHUD prep

10/17/2026

I was going to post my thoughts last week. When during New York? Comic-Con it was announced that marvel Comics was going to $5 an issue.
I was going to tell the corny story I tell of running to the corner store that was a mile from my house (yes, there was a point I could do that relatively quickly).
And I used to bring $3 with me.
And that would get me 5 .60cent comics.
Then it was 4 at .75 cents. And then 3 at $1 each.
Then I went to college and comics were $1.25 or $1.50
Shout out Dewey's Comic City.

I stopped buying comics at the shops and started buying people's collections and that made reading comics feel free. (Would not recommend)

While getting ready for Chud today I found some old stuff. Including this newsletter from the 1970s.
They speculated about the future prices of comics.
