I recently had a request for adult bibs. She asked for many fabrics. I remembered seeing a post on Pinterest where someone had cleverly used men's buttondowns. I thrifted a few nice shirts and found a pattern that I liked. I added a middle layer of flannel for thickness and snaps for convenience. She was super happy with the results!

Client: Can you make a quilt from my little Chihuahua's outfits?

Me: Sure! Let's see what ya got. 😳

I'll have to admit that I had zero ideas for a couple of weeks on what to do. I knew that I didn't want to cut them into small squares. So, I settled on appliquing them on panels and piecing those together with black sashing.
The reveal was a nail biter (more than normal). But when she started crying, I was so relieved. It's always a bittersweet feeling 🥹

Big, huge thank you to Decatur Quilting for great stitching through multiple layers of sequins, taffeta, pleats, faux fur and heavy knits.
