SEW DAY MONDAY AUGUST 10, AT 3 HENS AND A CHICK. THEY OPEN AT 10 A.M. BRING YOUR LUNCH OR ORDER OUT.

Guild meeting is Thursday August 5th.

Supper at 5 at Burrito Express. Everyone is welcome.

Meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at Friendship Church on Lucas Ferry Rd in Athens, Alabama.

Good afternoon my peeps. A lot of information to pass on to you this week. Please mark your calendars! On the Sew Day you can bring whatever you want to work on. Or, if you need help with a project you can bring that too. We are easy...lol.

Little Marlee is fitting in so good. She is definitely suppose to be my cat she loves strawberry yogurt and a Publix Mojo chicken! She sleeps all night. She doesn't get to have free roam all the time yet. She has no fear of the big cats at all. And she has the loudest little purr. She is getting to where she will come and get in my lap when she starts getting sleepy. Of course that just melts my heart.

I turned to page seven of eight on my cross stitch pattern today! Woo hoo that's a biggy.

This is Tessa and Marlee looking out the window. Well...Tessa was. My bushes have grown like crazy from all the rain. I am so ready for cooler weather.

Well good afternoon my peeps! I had forgotten what life with a kitten was like. Marlee Louise is very good. She sleeps all night and uses her pan. She has no fear of the big cats. They have for the most part quit hissing at her. I am surprised little Flossie is not dehydrated! Marlee started coming and getting in my lap Sunday. She has the loudest little purr. Todays incidents include knocking the Roku thingy and other box off and behind the TV, swinging on a quilt on my wall, and running through my salad bowl in my lap! I bet nobody else has Ranch dressing paw prints on their floor! And oh yeah, she jumped on my magnifier lamp and rode it to the floor. She also likes paper. She has chewed my cross stitch pattern! But...I sure did need her and we love her now.

I thought I would share some boxes with y'all. I don't know why but I have always loved boxes.

Good morning my peeps! Well...Marlee Louise is here. My new kitten. You know from the minute I saw this little kitten I loved her. I knew she was going to be mine. My big cats...they are not so happy about the situation, but adjusting pretty well. She is out and free roaming for the most part. She has the loudest little purr. She certainly has made herself at home. And has no fear of the big cats. Poor little Flossie has hissed herself to death. I lock her up at night so they can have a break. I sure have said "No no don't do that!" a bunch! She pulled the tail off of a toy mouse and the tongue off of their toy snake! She is wide open! Anyway...that is what I have been up too.

Good afternoon my peeps! Oh my goodness...it all started by watching Clutterbug on YouTube. I have been cleaning out closets and pantries. Making better use of where things go. I found a really nice food processor in the garage that I would like to use. So...it is now in the baking pantry. In case you are wondering my whole house was literally moved out into the garage almost five years ago. So, I would just bring in things as I found them. Well, after being back in the house and getting into my routine some spaces have changed. So...if I don't like it now...it's gone. I love old glassware and pretty dishes. But, I use my storage bowls more than pretty dishes. And I want things to where I can reach them without a ladder. So...I have been doing a lot of decluttering and rearranging. I did have to cross stitch a short while to settle my nerves! Maybe this will inspire someone else.

Good afternoon my peeps! Oh my word. I got to watching cleaning videos yesterday while I cross stitched a little bit. Decided I would clean out my utility room closet. It looks like a tornado has come through part of my house! They say," You can do this in a few minutes. " Ha ... two days later I am still going through stuff. I did find 2 window cleaner pads that go on extension poles for the outside windows and my O Cedar attachment for the mop! I bought a different kind of mop. But tickled I found this one.

I am getting a new kitten next week so I have been kitty proofing things too. Her name is Marlee Louise. Every good southern cat needs a middle name. Hadn't planned on adding to the family. I just instantly loved her the minute I saw her. Hope the introduction goes smoothly with my other cats.

I will share our Show and Tell pictures with you.

Good afternoon my peeps! Our meeting this month will be a demo from Janice on how to make the no cutting quilt. It uses charm squares and a layer cake.

Also, it's time to renew dues. They are $25 for the year. An email was sent out. Let us know if you did not receive it. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Well good afternoon my peeps! Don't faint, I actually have a quilt related post...lol.

I have to tell you a funny. I have a bed frame that raises your head and feet. Well, I was getting ready to go to sleep and watch Bobby Flay. The bed has lights under it. Apparently I hit a button on the remote I didn't know existed. Let me tell you that sucker has LED lights under it! It looked like a space ship about to take off! I couldn't figure out how to turn it off. It has little blue lights on the frame. They don't mash. So, I am under the bed looking for a switch with the cats. I looked on Google. It was talking about apps on your phone. I knew that was not my answer. So by this time I have on the ceiling light and my glasses. I turned the remote over and low and behold there is a button with a light on it!!!!! I guess I hit it when I was lowering my head. By this time it was 3:30 a.m. I was wide awake. What a night.

I finally finished a quilt today. Good thing it will be gifted Friday. I made the baby a quilt and one for her doll.

I think I have an eagle building a nest on my porch! Just kidding. Their nest is beautiful.

6:00 P.M. THURSDAY. BRING A COVERED DISH. BRING YOU SOMETHING TO DRINK. CUPS AND ICE WILL BE FURNISHED. IF YOU WANT TO BRING A DRINK TO SHARE THAT WILL BE OKAY TOO. TRYING TO MAKE IT EASY FOR EVERYONE. WE WILL NOT EAT AT BURRITO EXPRESS THIS MONTH.

Good afternoon my peeps! We will be having a party Thursday. We will have a short program with our party. Also, it is time to renew our dues. They are still just $25.

Today is a bittersweet day for me. Today is my 49th Anniversary and my 5th one without Malcolm. I sure do miss him and especially today. I have also been out of high school 48 years today. We married when I was 16 and he was 21. I graduated from high school on my first wedding anniversary! Nobody ever thought we would make it. But...we tricked them.

Hope to see y'all Thursday! You know quilters are good cooks. Lol...

Good afternoon my peeps! I have missed y'all. I have been so sick. I had the flu for a week and that went into a severe sinus infection. This respiratory stuff has even gone through all four of my cats. Sneezing, runny eyes and fever. They have all been to the vet for shots.

I got this from a lady at Aldi. She was coughing in her arm. I even turned around and went down another aisle. I met her two aisles over and she looked at me and coughed on me!!! I looked at her like oh no! Three days later I had a sore throat, coughing, headache and body aches unreal. Anybody that knows me knows I am a super germaphobe. I was even before Covid, but especially since Covid. I don't understand people who don't stay home when they are sick! She has cost me hundreds of dollars in my care and my cats care.

Anyway, I am feeling better finally. Yesterday is the first day that I have cross stitched in about 10 days. So I know I am on the mend. One good thing, I was so nauseated I couldn't eat and I have lost 10 pounds. Going to try and keep that going.
