ONE LAST WALK FOR BRAYLEE & DRIP DROP

The YSSS buyer appreciation gift bags are packed and ready, but this one feels a little bittersweet.

Tomorrow morning, after 16 months together, Braylee and Drip Drop will make their final walk and it will be through the sale ring.

Through snow, rain, scorching heat, early mornings, late nights, feeding, washing, fitting and countless hours together… Braylee turned her little farm-raised steer into a Champion. 🏆

Tomorrow isn’t just about selling a steer. It’s the finish line of a project that taught responsibility, patience, determination—and probably a whole lot about loving something you eventually have to let go. ❤️

WHAT. A. DAY. 2.

The first two days of the North Idaho State Fair have been BIG for our crew!

LX Tallow is selling nicely in Rebel Junk’s Building 19 booth — thank you to everyone stopping by and supporting our little family business! ❤️

Meanwhile, the kids have been busy! Beckett slayed it in Moto Cross Friday night, then Saturday took Champion P*e Wee Showman with Cozy! Lulu overcame some serious reservations, stepped into the ring with Braylee’s 1,438 lb. market steer and earned Reserve Champion Showman! HUGE milestone for Lillee! ❤️

But the biggest surprise was Miss Cozy.

Our home-born and raised show heifer from last year went home after fair, joined the cow herd and had her first baby, Bauser, this spring.

Then Friday — yes, TWO DAYS AGO — Cozy came out of retirement, got a haircut and helped teach her baby to lead.

Saturday, Cozy & Bauser beat 8 other cow/calf pairs and a barn full of beautiful females to be named…

🏆 NORTH IDAHO STATE FAIR SUPREME CHAMPION FEMALE! 🏆

Completely unexpected and incredibly special.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE 6 DAYS MAKES! 😳

Old Renegade Bucky Bob got a little squirrelly on his bike last week. One urgent care visit and 6 stitches to the knee later… we had another unplanned LX Tallow product tester on our hands.

We intentionally test all of our tallow products on family before marketing them… sometimes the testing happens unintentionally.

Six days of using ONLY tallow — BR-540, Beck’s scent of choice — and this was his face last night!

Tallow is naturally similar to the oils found in our skin, which is one of the many reasons we love it for nourishing and supporting healthy skin.

Apparently, Bucky Bob just wanted to take product testing to the next level.

Pump the brakes every once in a while, Bucks!
