A new wine from Niobrara Valley Vineyards!

ROAD APPLE - sweet apple wine - Honey Crisp flavored apple wine

Here is the fuller description from the back label of the bottle:

The Urban Dictionary describes ‘road apple’ as “A horse turd in the road. More of a rural phenomenon.”

Well, you can’t get any more rural than Nenzel, Nebraska. This tasty sweet wine gives tribute to the unsung hero of our ranching heritage: the road apple. Road apples added fertilizer to the sandy soils, helped stoke heating stoves and made great fun for ranch kids when it wasn’t snowball weather. It’s important to remember this small, yet important symbol of our ranch life because it’s the little things that mean the most. Not to worry, all of the apples in our wine came from trees, not the road.
