What you didn’t see before the doors opened… 👀

Reclaim What’s Next started as an idea less than 90 days ago.

Behind the scenes were weeks of planning, meetings, rehearsals, volunteers, vendors, panelists, partnerships—and a whole lot of execution—to create a room designed to help women navigate career disruption.

Watching everyone get into position and seeing the vision finally come together was a full-circle moment for me.

I’ve been laid off twice.

I know what it feels like to have your career disrupted and wonder, What do I do now?

But I also know what it looks like to figure out how to move forward.

So I created the room I wish I had during my own career transitions—a room filled with resources, connections, support, and a plan for what comes next.

And the work doesn’t end with the event. 💛

If you’re currently navigating a layoff or career transition, I’m hosting a FREE workshop tomorrow, Thursday, August 27 at 7 PM ET, where I’ll walk you through a step-by-step framework to help you create a plan to Reclaim What’s Next.

It’s the last week of July. 😮🥺

Before you turn the page to a new month, ask yourself one question:

What did I say I was going to do this month that still needs my attention?

Don’t beat yourself up over what didn’t get done.

Just make a plan to finish it.

Here’s my challenge for you this week:

✅ Identify your Top 3 priorities.
✅ Block one hour every day to work on them.
✅ Decide which day you’ll complete each task.
✅ Then protect that time like it’s a meeting you can’t miss.

One thing I’ve learned is this:

What you don’t make time for rarely gets done.

That’s why I don’t leave my goals to chance.

Sometimes my favorite place to work isn’t my office—it’s a quiet coffee shop with a cup of tea, my planner, my earbuds, and an hour of uninterrupted focus.

That’s my reset.

That’s my cheat code.

And that’s how I keep making progress, one day at a time.

If you need a place to start, grab your One Day Daily Ex*****on Planner, map out your week, and commit to just one focused hour each day.

Small, consistent actions create big results.

Now tell me…

What’s ONE thing you’re committed to finishing before the week is over? 💛

Yesterday, I had the cornbread.

…and the corn muffins.

And I enjoyed every single bite. 😂🌽

No guilt. No regrets.

My friend Lamond knows I love bread, so I already know he’s going to laugh when he sees this. 😂 I promise… don’t judge me.

This morning, my trainer looked at me and said, “Cool… now we’re adding 15 minutes of cardio.”

Fair enough. 🤣

It reminded me that this is exactly how goals work.

You’re going to have days where you indulge.
You’re going to have days where you miss the workout.
You’re going to have days where you don’t stick to the plan.

The mistake isn’t falling off.

The mistake is deciding that one day has to become three.

Get back up.

Adjust.

Do the extra 15 minutes—whatever that looks like for your goal.

Progress isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about getting back to the discipline as quickly as you can.

Now… if you’ll excuse me, I have 15 extra minutes of cardio with my name on it. 😅💛
