In Seoul, and happened to stumble onto Tea World Exhibition. Had lots of tea, kids got tea icecream, saw some farmers friends we met last year while visiting Hadong, and made some new friends. The little one got a cute tea cup with a cat drawing (her own personal teaware collection is growing). More tea tomorrow before we head out.

We had a great time last weekend, thank you for having us.
Poorvi gave a sold out talk on Indigenous Indian teas, folks loved learning about Khalap, Manipur Sheng, Mizoram Yellow Tea and Mirem Valley foot rolled tea. At the booth we sampled some innovative teas from our small farmers, Calming Golden Latte and Vanilla Lavender Chai and everyone really enjoyed them.
We had Abhay helping us at the booth and it was so kind of him.

“Poorvi, white tea is not going to be a problem. But first flush black tea is.”

Our farmer friend Boris Linnebank in Meghalaya said this over a phone call, the other day. Geopolitical uncertainty is finding its way into livelihoods and industries, including tea cultivation. As tea founders, we wanted to explore the use of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) in tea processing, what our partner farmers are noticing, and our different outlook this season.

As tea people who specialize in Indian tea we take each other tea growing country we visit with a lot of curiosity and feel it’s a really nice way to get immersed in the region’s culture. Photos from our recent Japan trip- visiting farms, learning about shade growing, grinding and preparing matcha, enjoying lots of matcha and Hojicha lattes, ice-creams, savoring interesting tea cocktails at .tea and and loving senchas, gyokoros, and a very interesting tea called Goishicha. Japan you were a lot of fun and we can’t wait to come back sometime.
