Apparently my mew side-quest is Masters of the Universe knock-offs- Galaxy Warriors, Galaxy Fighters, Defenders of the Planets…if it’s weird and dumb, I’ll probably like it!

I picked up a few of these through random deals but I blame VHSCRYPT for encouraging my habit with the latest batch.

I know this is old news at this point, since these have been out in the wild for a while – but I finally got around to putting mine together and photographing it. This whole project is so incredible, and my only complaint is that there weren’t a ton more of them made!

A fantastic team effort here by (packaging and project mastermind), Gary Weaver II (vacuformed trays), TCU Toys (printing and painting), and your pal Funky Maclunkey Toys (Clark Kent sculpt).

Truly an awesome project to be part of!

I’ll confess to having a bit of a soft spot for [adultswim]. The absurdist humor and bizarro programming always resonated with me, which is no surprise considering my personal penchant for the ridiculous. Also, I did a lot of work for them back in the day, and my wife was a costume designer for some of their live action shows too. Neither of us worked on Tim & Eric but I always loved it anyway.

So I’m making some of my favorite [adultswim] characters because why not. And our pal Spagett! here is the first.
