As many of you already know, we strive to highlight the vastly beautiful and diversity of coffees from Colombia. Our hearts were deeply saddened with the news of the earthquakes that severely impacted western Colombia, thousands are left without housing, medical care, or basic necessities. From now until the end of September, we will be donating 20% of all retail sales from our website to help with emergency relief, safe shelters and healthcare services for the affected families and vulnerable communities. We ask you to join us in showing our support.

If you’ve ever had the chance to go to Expo you can probably attest to the fact that it allows for you to make new friends with other passionate coffee industry people. This coffee release is a result of one of those really special conversations when we went to Expo in Houston last year.

Surrounded by a bunch of people at the San Remo party we found ourselves sharing a table with a lovely family that started telling us about their coffee farm in Colombia. It was one of those significant moments where you’re reminded why you continue to do what you do and how important it is to help create community and support those who share the same passion for coffee as you. We were so touched by the Bedoya Family’s story. Especially witnessing how their dad got emotional when he was sharing with us how much it meant to him that his whole family was able to be there and attend the expo together. Luckily, we were able to stay in contact with them and we knew that we wanted to source one of their coffees to be able to share with all of you. Their daughter Sara Bedoya helped us with logistics and so it’s an honor for us to be able to present to you this coffee from their farm.

Our new coffees from Santander, Colombia are a special release for us because when we got married this February we were able to take friends and family to Gonzalo Mancilla’s farm.

Gonzalo explained to us the Hydro or Hidro natural process which is where they combine natural processing with a rehydration soaking. In this case, after the coffee is dried to about 20%, they submerge the coffee in the same juice produced from the coffee cherries themselves. Hydro natural processing is a new experimental process method which enhances the sweetness while providing a more clean fruitiness.

All 3 of these coffees are available for purchase in retail bags of 250 grams on our website!

We have a very special coffee release to share with all of you. In February of this year we took a group of our friends and family to a coffee farm in La Mesa de Los Santos, Santander, Colombia. It was special for us because it was the weekend of our wedding but also so beautiful to be able to share with everyone who was there an origin experience and the heart of coffee farming and producing in Colombia. We stayed in contact with the Mancilla family who have taken care of the San Fernando farm for many generations and now it is our honor and privilege to announce we have sourced 3 new coffees from their farm to be able to share with all of you ☺️

Upping our sticker flow with noissue

We’ve been playing around with the idea of adding stickers to our bags of coffee to help people be able to categorize them. If you haven’t noticed, we don’t put tasting notes. This is because we believe tasting notes are subjective to each person and we want every person who drinks our coffees to have their own experience with what they taste. We still might eventually help guide you with whether a coffee is fruity or floral or chocolatey but for now we’re categorizing them : REGIONAL, VARIETIES, & PROCESSES.
