After more than 10 years with the Advanced Technology Development Center, I’m stepping back from my day to day role to focus more of my time on the .fba

This community has meant a lot to me, and I’m grateful to still be part of it in a new way.

I’m excited to pour even more into supporting Georgia’s food and beverage founders as they grow and scale their brands. Don't fret AubSauce customers, I will definitely continue building AubSauce. 😉

One of the things I love most about writing for the is the freedom to share what genuinely moves and inspires me.

This month felt especially meaningful.

In celebration of Black History Month, I had the honor of featuring Black farmers Niya and Eric Matthews of Twin Oak Farms. Their work in community farming, education, and food access is steady, intentional, and impactful.

I’m grateful I get to tell stories like this.

My latest Focus on Food column is out in the Market Bulletin.

This month, I’m sharing thoughts on Dry January and spotlighting Georgia-based beverage founders creating thoughtful, non-alcoholic options that still feel celebratory.

The Market Bulletin, published bi-weekly by the Georgia Department of Agriculture since 1917, has long connected farmers and consumers across the state with agricultural news, marketplace listings, and community stories. I’m always honored to contribute to a publication with such deep roots in Georgia’s food and farm culture.

What an incredible night!

I had the chance to attend the Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream panel and networking event, and it was great seeing so many members of our GT.FBA community in the room.

I ran into so many familiar faces from across Atlanta’s food and startup ecosystem — Maria Peck from :ME Atlanta, Lindsay Champanis of Moon Ray Creative, and Prince Michael Jett, founder of Yack Shack Media, who was one of the evening’s panelists.

A big highlight of the night came courtesy of my friends Ken and Jeannette, owners of the new La Bodega Market on Sylvan Rd, who showed up with boxes of their famous pupusas. And dessert was perfectly handled by Michael and Khelsey of Dorothy Desserts, who shared their incredible sweet potato cheesecakes.

It’s always inspiring to see the connections and collaboration happening across our Atlanta food and beverage community.

Supporting founders and helping them grow is one of the most rewarding parts of my work, and I’m grateful to be recognized alongside so many amazing people in Atlanta’s startup community.
