We've been remiss in heaping praise on the bands that played in the . They were spectacular! A great time was had by all! Thanks to Uncle Green (not pictured, sadly), Paul Melançon and Helionaut, and last but certainly not least, Kevin Dunn's Unresponsive in Malibu! Great job!
And we would love to give a big Little 5 Points shout out to Brad and thr amazing crew at the Variety theater!

What can you say about ? We could say a lot but we'll just say that they're awesome and fun and, for one night, they're ours! PRS will be closing out the show tomorrow at the Variety theater! Wow!

Theres a great line from Broadcast News that aptly covers how most bands were treated by the majors. Holly Hunter says to William Hurt as he's fondling her, "At least kiss me when you do that." If there was band that should have hit with a perfect recording made at the label's expense it was and it was this album, 'Book Of Bad Thought'. Produced by Brendan O'Brian at the dawn of grunge with guitars so crunchy it made granola ashamed! There was no reason that this album didnt get major airplay. Except it didn't. "Not a priority! We don't hear a hit! We're moving in a different direction!" Take a listen to any of the 12 gems off this record and you'll know they were wrong. (My favorite is 'He Woke Up Naked'.) Luckly for us and you who choose to attend Sunday's Uncle Green will be playing songs from this and many of their other excellent recordings.

You should be happy that has agreed to play the on the 19th of July at the Variety theater!
Besides her wonderful work with she's put together two marvelous albums of her own! She'll be playing songs from her new effort, "I Should Be Happy", so you should treat yourself to her music.
Along with Kevin Dunn, Helionauts w/ Paul Melançon, Uncle Green, The Swimming Pool Qs, All The Saints, and Pylon Reenactment Society!
