After almost 30 years with Cape Lookout Fly Shop in Atlantic Beach NC, we have officially closed the shop. Capt. Joe will still be taking light tackle and fly fishing charters. Give him a call at 252-241-6111, or 252-240-2744. The first number is the easiest to catch up with him. Thank you to all our customers over the last 29 plus years. Well the false albacore have already started showing up around the Cape Lookout and Atlantic Beach areas. I still have some open dates for Fly fishing and spin fishing in late September, October and November. If you are interested in going for albies give me a call at 252-241-6111 or email me at [email protected]. In November we have a great change of catching the old drum on the eastside of the Cape Lookout shoals on fly and spin as well.

Cape Lookout Fly Shop has been in business for 29 years, and want to let all our customers know how much we have appreciated your business over the years.
Due to health, and just plain tired of the retail business we are closing our doors. We currently have a 25% off all items in the store. We will close when the inventory is gone or close to it.
Again, thank you all for allowing us to serve your fly fishing needs and the great friendships we developed with locals, tourists, and fly fishing industry people. It has been a good run.

Travel (specifically flying ✈️) Question!
How does TSA handle carry-on or checked luggage regarding your flies, specifically the metal hooks?

At Cape Lookout Fly Shop we have returned To our regular hours which are Tuesdays Saturday 10:00 to 5:00 when we experienced a good bit of an electrical problem and luckily the electrician was there to stop What could have been a terrible fire but we are out of electricity and don't have any electricity right now and it'll probably be off for 3 or 4 days. So I just wanted to post this to let people know that we're opening back up but it might be the middle to end of next week after Easter due to the electrical problem. Thank you
