Finished size is about 36”. Made with an elastic core and cotton scrunched fabric about 80”. Lots of give and well constructed.

All the hardware used is metal with some colorful coatings. All meant for high volume uses. Check out the detailed images for the different ways you can adjust your hardware for your needs.

Over the years I have created so many Red, White & Blue Patriotic themed quilted items.

On this day 25 years ago I listened and watched in horror.

Our daughter was in preschool part time to get her ready for kindergarten (no TK back then) and I had a part time financial ( of all things Stock Market ) job. My husband worked at a large school district as a lead mechanic. As I drove into work after dropping our daughter off at school the towers were hit, I had no idea until I got into my office and only 2 managers were there. I was 4 cities away from my girl and I could not get there fast enough. It was pure panic and anxiety driving all that way to get to her. Because my husband worked for the school district he was not able to leave. It was mandatory that all the mechanics, bus drivers and others stayed to drive buses if needed to bring people to safety. Literally the longest day of my life. My husband is a Vietnam Veteran and 9/11 was very triggering for him! It crushed his sense of security in America.

All our daughter remembers is the images on TV and us sharing our stories of the day. She knows we were sad and we sheltered her as best as we could. I did not go back to work, I was where I needed to be.

All I saw was Americans coming together to help others out. I saw our Canadian friends coming to help, our other friends from around the world coming to our aid! It was emotional witnessing such humanity in others!

I won’t go into the politics of the day or even today, I just know that we didn’t do it all! Our Friends from around the globe came to our aid freely and with open hearts! Thank you all!

I still pray for the families, I pray and weep for the first responders and our fellow men & women that came to help, feed, pray, search and supported each other.

I remember the feeling of despair, sadness, grief and anger. But out of the ashes I found hope and a better understanding of what it means to be an American and to reach out and help those affected.

Today is not a day to celebrate, today is a day to reflect, remember, pray, create change so this doesn’t happen again and to honor the lives lost and to the ones that dug in and helped!

When you get an invite for a special 3 year olds mermaid 🧜🏼‍♀️ birthday party 🥳 you get creative!!!
I made this cutie set up for a sweetie turning 3 and it’s too adorable to not repost!

The pattern used was from PassioKnit Goods Kelsie from YouTube. Patterns are the Granny Hexagon Cardigan ( modified for a toddler) and the Kelp Bucket Hat ( modified for a toddler)

The Market Mesh Bag ( modified for a toddler) pattern was originated from Stephanie Zed of YouTube.

Yarn used was from Lion Brand using Lion Brand Yarn Mandala Sparkle in Draco!!

This set is with a lightweight yarn 🧶 and sparkles 💖 just enough for the enjoyment of a 3 year old!

Let me know if I should make more toddler sets and in what colors?

I will admit this Cardi has room to grow with!

The other day I finished making this Granny Hexagon Cardigan and had enough yarn left to make this Hot Granny Tote with it!

The reason for making this set was at the request of my hubby and he wanted it for his Speech Therapist! We brought yarns for her to select and did not tell her anything else. On his next visit (yesterday) he surprised her with it and a note that simply said Thank You, Mike! That touched her more than anything. My sweet hubby has a long way to go, but baby steps are always appreciated and celebrated! (Alzheimer’s Dementia & Aphasia)

The patterns used are from Kelsie of PassioKnit Goods the patterns are the Granny Hexagon Cardigan and the Hot Granny Tote! I found her on her YouTube channel and then purchased her patterns!

The color is a bit off, we are in fire 🔥 and harvest 🥜🌰🍠 season out here at the moment!

It’s been an emotional week friends, love 💕 more and be kind 🥰

So happy for my girl and her commitment to her profession and the love of teaching her 7th graders! She is truly amazing and an awesome educator! 👩🏼‍🏫
