This was written by Mr. Rene Nadon about one of his young scouts in Washington state. I would like to see all the scouts on this page send Emerson Ake a local council strip or a patch. Let’s fill the walls of his room with patches. I have talked to Mr. Nadon an have received permission to post his post to several scout pages I know of. Please contact him if you would like to do the same.

I have been fortunate in my life to have been healthy. As I get older, I thank God for my health, my family, friends and Troop 90.
Recently, I found out that one of Scouts from Troop 90 has been diagnosed with leukemia.
Emerson Ake, who is 13 years old, has been with the Troop since May of this year. He and his family moved to Sequim, WA just recently. Now he is fighting leukemia in a strange place with only his mom being able to see him. Covid restrictions prevent his siblings and the rest of his family to visit him except through facetime.
He is currently at Seattle Children's Hospital. He will be in the hospital for the next month and then will need to be in the Seattle area for the following 10 months to be monitored.
I am asking all my friends to please keep Emerson and his family in your prayers. During this stressful time, Emerson and his family support team needs the strength of God's love and he will receive that love through your prayers.
