Tile is one of those choices that can completely change the mood of a kitchen or bathroom.

Nick and Tyler walked through MSI’s tile selection, and the range is seriously impressive — porcelain, ceramic, matte, polished, mosaics, fluted wall tile, stone looks, marble looks, glossy finishes, subway tile, large-format 24x48 pieces, and even mosaics with metal inlays. ◻️

The important part is not just having more options. It is knowing where each option belongs.

A classic subway tile can keep a kitchen clean and timeless. A fluted wall tile can add texture without overwhelming the room. Large-format tile can make a shower feel more seamless and modern. Mosaics can bring detail to a niche, backsplash, or accent wall without taking over the whole design.

Flooring is where design has to meet real life 🏡

Nick and Tyler walked through MSI flooring options with one important point: there is no single “best” floor for every home. The right choice depends on budget, lifestyle, moisture, scratch resistance, comfort, and how the space will actually be used every day.

Laminate has come a long way. Options like ShoreCliffs bring a large 9x87 plank, 12mm thickness, 2mm attached pad, a natural wood look, and an AC5 rating for serious scratch resistance. A strong fit when durability and everyday wear are the main priority.

LVP brings a different advantage: waterproof performance. For busy homes, kitchens, laundry areas, basements, and spaces where spills are part of life, that can be the deciding factor.

And engineered hardwood still has its place. If the goal is the natural beauty of real wood, a quieter and softer feel underfoot, and a warmer overall look — it remains a beautiful option, especially when water and scratch resistance are not the top concern.

That is why seeing flooring in person matters. Laminate, LVP, and engineered hardwood can all be great choices — but each one solves a different problem.

Some clients want the clean, consistent look of quartz. Others are drawn to the character of natural stone — the movement, variation, and one-of-a-kind feel you only get from quartzite or granite.

At the MSI showroom, we looked closer at how these materials compare in real life.

Quartzite and granite are natural stones, so every slab is different. That is a big part of the appeal — especially right now, as more homeowners are moving away from flat white surfaces and choosing warmer, more organic looks.

Quartz is man-made, using quartz composite and resin, which makes it a practical option for clients who want durability, consistency, and lower maintenance.

One material that continues to stand out is Taj Mahal quartzite — soft whites, beige tones, warm browns, and subtle gold movement. It brings a natural, elevated look without feeling too busy.

And for clients who love that direction but need a more budget-conscious option, certain granites can offer a beautiful natural stone feel at a different price point.

The best choice is not always the most expensive one. It is the one that fits the home, the budget, and the way the space will actually be used every day.
