Hey everyone! Guess who’s taking over the spotlight today? That’s right—it’s me, Phuke! I’m a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois, and I officially scored the title of October Pet of the Month here at Willow Animal Clinic!

My story actually started with a pretty big bump in the road—literally. Barrow County Animal Control brought me into the clinic after I had a terrible run-in with a car. Things were looking pretty grim: I had a broken jaw, was super malnourished, and honestly, I didn't trust a single soul. But then, my hero stepped up. One of the awesome clinic team members took a giant chance on me and brought me home.

BOOM! Instant soulmates. As soon as we walked through her door, we became completely inseparable. I desperately needed someone to love me, understand my wild energy, and care for me, and my mom checked every single box. People say she saved me, but honestly, I think we saved each other. She can't imagine her life without me, and we make each other complete!

If you ask my mom to describe me, she’d tell you I’m a high-octane cocktail of pure excitement, total chaos, and non-stop entertainment. I’m a total goofball who keeps her laughing 24/7, though I do have one teeny-tiny naughty habit... I can't stop trampling her flower beds! Listen, when I'm zooming after my toys, those flowers are just collateral damage! 🤷‍♂️💐

If I could design my ultimate dream day, it would go like this:

First, Mom takes me to her friend’s house because he has tons of open land and a huge pond. We play fetch for hours! Mom always forces me to take rest breaks because I love chasing toys so much I refuse to stop. So during my breaks, I trot down to the pond to cool off. I’m not the best swimmer, so I usually just lay flat down in the water like a big, happy water-dog.

Next, we head out on a trail hike. I’m Mom's loyal bodyguard, so I stick right by her side to make sure she stays safe. Afterward, we stop at a store where the nice humans hand Mom a cup filled with white, fluffy magic! Pup cups are hands-down the most delicious thing in the universe (though beef collagen chews are a very close second!).

To wrap up the best day ever, we head home, and Mom fills my big blue pool to the top so I can splash around and play even more fetch in the yard. I just love being outside and running wild!

Honestly, as long as I’m right next to my mom, I’ll do anything and go anywhere with her. I just want to be with her forever. Thanks for reading my story! 🐾❤️

Solid black cats tend to be overlooked and Sage really hopes that won’t be the case for her. This shiny-coated girl with sparkly gold eyes has so much love to offer. She is calm and laidback and eager to endear herself to humans. She enjoys head scratches and being picked up and held. Sage gets along well with other cats and she is fostered in a home with both large and small dogs. She is comfortable sharing her space with dogs as long as they are gentle and respectful. Sage is four months old and she is fully vetted. She’s ready to go home with her new family as early as tomorrow.
