This great! What a fun little tribute to Tevis - good job Pam and Heather!!
Twas the night before Tevis
And all through the mountains
All the creatures were stirring, even the mouse.
The hay bags all hung from the trailers with care in hopes that the finish line would soon be there.
With ma in her Ariats and I in my Kerrits,
We had just settled down for a hot summers nap.
And what to wondering eyes do appear
The sun is rising, dawn has arrived here!
All the riders sprang to their tack,
to their crew gave a whistle,
And away they all flew down the trail through the thistle.
But I heard them exclaim, as they rode out of sight,
“Happy Tevis to all and to all a Safe Ride”
