Here's what nobody mentions about rewaxing waxed canvas: we lay 3.5 to 8 oz of wax per square yard on ours at finishing, so a home bar-wax top-up restores water repellency without rebuilding the full factory load. 🧵

And put the heat gun away, because beeswax melts at roughly 62 to 65°C according to the FAO, while Otter Wax warns that heat guns cook the oils in the wax and leave a fried, rancid smell in the cloth. 🔥

Give it 72 hours to cure before you wear it, since in our own shop test 7 of 12 rewaxed 13.5 oz Army Duck swatches still transferred lint at 24 hours and none did at 72. ⏳
