Great news Gary Shaver is finally being released from the hospital. We are so happy. So hopefully he will be back to his normal torturing of Heather and our customers as early as next week. Oh happy day. Hahahahaha

Update our Gary had his final procedure today. Defibrillator back in. Now we are just waiting on the magic words from the doc. You can go home. The worst is officially behind us. Thank heavens we got on it fast and our Gary Shaver is a fighter. He will be back to annoying everyone soon. I for one can hardly wait.

Okay so Gary Shaver decided to go on a vacation. Not the type anyone else would want but he is definitely laying around doing as little as possible.

Last Thursday morning on June 25th Gary noticed a small abscess growing directly over his cardioverter defibrillator. He went into the doctor and they in turn told him to go to the emergency room. Surprise surprise we all know how difficult Gary is so they then realized his needs where beyond their care. He was ambulance to a VA hospital in San Francisco.

Gary is doing well and being given an very aggressive round of antibiotics. Okay multiple antibiotics. Now that they have the infection under control they will be replacing the entire unit along with the leads on Wednesday July 1st. Afterwards he gets to look forward to roughly another 5 more days of antibiotics and chicken. As we all know how much Gary hates chicken so since that is almost all his dietary needs are made up of send prayers for Gary to do well tomorrow with both the surgery and his ability to survive the onset of endless chicken meals.

I have kept this post light hearted because he is doing well and recovering. He is in the best place he can be and we caught it early which under the circumstances was a huge blessing. The surgery while even though all surgery has risk is low risk. Definitely serious but manageable and for that we are so grateful. So we get to be very optimistic he will recover.

Now Heather Willis on the other hand has lost a few years off her life from the stress. Plus a little blood tending his sweet fury angels. Hahahaha Send hair dye and caffeine and sweets. We plan Gary to go back to torturing Heather first hand by July 9th.

We will be closing at 3:00 PM on December 31 and closed on January 1, 2026 so our staff can enjoy time with family. We will reopen on January 2, 2026 for our normal business hours. Have a safe and happy new year.
