With the good weather comes a busy schedule of Registered Shoots! ☀️

Jeff and Riley made in down to Linn Creek this last week for the Missouri State Shoot. Brian Byers and Madison came down for the weekend to join in on the competition. The weekend brought great weather and over 650 shooters for the Saturday Singles event!

After some up and down scores all week there were some highlights. Both Madison and Jeff had 25 straights. Madison ended up shooting a 93 in a preliminary Handicap event and missed a trophy for Lady I by one shooter. Riley ended up winning the yardage group for the same Prelimary Handicap event with a 96 and Class A for the Championship Doubles on Sunday with a 96, bringing home a couple trophies!

Don’t miss out on our next registered shoot June 7th, the Edgewood Summer Classic! It’ll be a 300 bird event on Sunday with $1,000 of added money! 💰

We were pleased to host the Lincolnwood Trap Team yesterday here at Edgewood Gun Club! They have a great group of motivated youth shooters who are eager to learn and improve.

Chuck Watson was out yesterday helping fit and pattern guns on our splatter board. His knowledge and willingness to help make him an invaluable part of our club.

We hope to have the team back out again soon and look forward to watching their scores continue to improve!

Sunday ended up to be another wonderful day of shooting!

Chuck was able to do it again!!!

With 234 shooters overall in the handicap event, Chuck won overall champion with a 96 from the 21 yard line. This was especially impervious with the wind somehow being worse than it was yesterday. He now will get two buckles and attempt for a third tomorrow.

Riley ended up shooting a 195 in the 200 singles event today which won AA class in Brittany. The high was a 197 in Brittany with the crazy targets.

Riley will be at the gun club tomorrow while Jeff and Edgewood friends finish the weekend off with 100 doubles and handicaps down in Brittany.

A handful of Edgewood shooters went down to Brittany Shooting Park for the Spring Multi State Shoot today. Today’s events consisted of 100 singles, handicap, and doubles. Might have been the windiest shooting we’ve ever seen.

We brought home a couple wins though!!

Riley Kaufman ended up shooting a 99 in singles winning AA class in Brittany. One shooter shot a perfect 100 in the wind.

Chuck Watson finally shot some registered target and it paid off huge! From the 20 yard line he broke a 98, running the first 75! Not only did this win Brittany, but it won the overall Multi-State event with 6 different gun clubs participating. Next year’s event will be named after him.

Make sure to congratulate Chuck if you see him and tell him to keep shooting registered events.

Tomorrow will be 200 singles and 100 handicaps.
