Railcat System I set up at model train shows and sell model trains, hats, t-shirts, signs, mugs, mouse pads. Railroadiana which includes train lanterns, timetables, etc..

I used to have a seasonal train shop at the Windmill Farm and Craft Market in Penn Yan, NY.

Something a little different this Friday morning 8/21/2026. A Finger Lakes Railway ballast train heads eastbound. FGLK B23-7 1989 is the original CR number which was to be changed to 2302 when the unit gets repainted. The build date on 1989 is May 1979. FGLK B23-7 2301 is former CR 1979 with a build date of of April 1979. FGLK 1979 was repainted in 2002 and had its number changed. On a couple of ballast cars you can see a faded CONRAIL at the top. The repainted cars had a red FINGER LAKES RAILWAY logo on the top right corner which is either faded or has come off (it had looked nice). Perhaps if I have time during winter, I shall post some FGLK pics from the start of their beginning on July 23, 1995. 😺

I am getting my van loaded up for today’s train show at Leonard’s Vacuum & Hobby in Cortland, NY and heard Sunday’s morning westbound coming through. 8/16/2026. 🚂
