For the last thrifting and antiquing field trip of the summer at my happy place, I headed southwest to Rochester and Somersworth, NH. The Goodwill in Somersworth is the best I have experienced. I could easily have filled a cart.

I decided to give making a video of my antiquing adventures another try. Yesterday I visited four stores in the Ossipee/Freedom/Wakefield area to the northwest of Lake Winnipesaukee.

📍Yankee Resalers in Ossipee. Yankee Resalers LLC. Absolutely fabulous and fun store. Owners are wonderful.

📍Freedom House Antiques. Freedom House Antiques. A perfect place for a treasure hunt. Something for everyone. Lots of vintage toys, books, brochures, glassware. The barn is great.

Results of visiting three antique stores yesterday. The antique Christmas cards from World War I were the find of the day. Almost all have a day somewhere. Most are either signed by hand or printed with the sender’s name. Many have a military theme about peace. They are wonderful. No idea what I will do with them except keep them safe for the future.

A wonderful piece of vintage kitchen glassware. This 1-cup Jeannette jadeite measuring cup dates to the Depression-era/early mid-century period and features the classic opaque green jadeite glass, three pouring spouts, sturdy handle, and raised measurement markings.

🌟 UV REACTIVE: This cup fluoresces beautifully under a black light, indicating the presence of uranium in the glass. The glow is particularly striking against the soft jadeite green color. The UV photograph in this listing shows the actual cup under black light.

💜 A wonderful addition to a jadeite collection, vintage kitchen collection, or uranium glass display. It is equally fun as a functional vintage measuring cup or displayed with other glowing glass.
