The smaller pad/resonator is the original from Selmer the larger is ours. The theory behind screw-in resonators is it pulls the skin of the pad evenly evenly without distorting the shaped the pad itself. In our shop we found that when we use these style resonators the pads almost want to balance themselves evenly.
